Our Story

Jeni Bailey of En Lieu Design Co. has spent the last two decades designing products for private companies & individuals as well as sourcing goods worldwide for various boutiques. She draws inspiration from time by the water & traveling adventures, but also believes the beauty of creation is all around us in the daily life.

As a native Floridian, Jeni grew up on the water surrounded by a huge family. Everyday her Grandpa Lou would ask, "What did you do with your hands today?" and it has always stuck as a source of inspiration. Her Norwegian grandmother was also a great deal of inspiration in teaching her how to sew, be resourceful, and have a simple Scandinavian eye. Whether its creating in the studio, in the kitchen, or drawing an epic picture with her young daughter, creation is daily life.

Currently, she creates custom leather pieces by hand selecting each hide and specializes in transforming them into leather goods making sure each piece of the hide is fully utilized. She also hosts private classes teaching others the fundamentals of leather working along with a big side of creative smiles & laughter in the studio.

Jeni lives on beautiful 30A with her husband and three children. Time on the water with her family is still priceless. She is available by appointment at her studio in Grayton Beach.
